| Tony Mowbray was another
outstanding defender, and inspirational captain. Part of the team that played during the rebirth of the club in 1986,
Mowbray only missed one match in Boro's three season rise from the Third to the First Division. Tony moved on from Boro
to join Celtic, and after a spell as First Team Coach at Ipswich Town, is currently
managing Scottish Premier League side Hibernian.
